Information

FIV/FeLV Test

We require that all Feline patients have proof of a FIV/FeLV test. This test is mandatory for patients who will be undergoing surgery and do not have proof of ever having had this test done. This consists of a simple blood test that will detect the presence of the Feline Leukemia Virus and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FeLV/FIV). The Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) causes a condition in cats that is similar to the one in humans caused by the AIDS virus. FIV is not infectious to people, but it can be spread from cat to cat.

FVRCP - 1 Year, 3 Year

After the initial one year vaccine, this vaccine is given every three years. It is required for indoor and outdoor cats; it is mandatory for all of our patients.

Rabies - 1 Year, 3 Year

This vaccine is required by law for all cats, both indoor and outdoor, regardless of age. After the initial one year vaccine, this vaccine is given every three years. It is mandatory for all of our patients.

FeLV Annual

We recommend that this vaccine only be given to cats that go outdoors, where the risk of contracting the Feline Leukemia Virus is very high. This vaccine is given annually.
