Dr. Matthew Pike began his career at the mere age of 15 after volunteering at a local veterinary hospital. What started as a summer job turned into a passion for him in the veterinary field and led him to begin his studies at SUNY Geneseo.

After graduating from SUNY Geneseo with a degree in Biology, Dr. Pike moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota to further his education. It was there he attended the University of Minnesota and graduated with a degree in veterinary medicine.

Since that time Dr. Pike has provided veterinary care in a variety of settings including shelters, and emergency hospitals. In 2006 he furthered his veterinary education in China. There he developed a deep appreciation for Chinese medicine including the ancient practice of acupuncture. 

Dr. Matthew Pike joined the team at Aqueduct Animal Hospital in the summer of 2009. His focus on minimally invasive procedures and individualized attention is providing our patients with superior care. You and your pet will value Dr. Pike’s compassionate approach to your pet’s unique needs. It is Dr. Pike’s goal to provide the maximum quality of life in all stages of life, with special attention to nutrition, exercise, and dental health. Dr. Pike’s professional interests include internal medicine, soft tissue and general surgery, dentistry, pain control, and acupuncture.
